The Non Monogamies and Contemporary Intimacies Congress is a biannual meeting that takes place in different cities that brings together social and academic movements to think and debate our sex-affective lives, the systems that cross them, and the violences included on them.
The first edition took place in Lisbon (Lisbon University) in 2015, the second in Vienna (Sigmund Freud University) 2017 and the current one, 2019, will take place in Barcelona, in the spaces of the Pompeu Fabra University, the Pati Llimona Civic Center and Sala Apolo.
In this edition, in addition to the transversal axes of anti-racism, feminism and queer perspective, three lines of the debate have been proposed:
- Sex-affective relationships and violence
- Racism and Islamophobia in love speeches
- Sex-affective relationships and social movements
Official languages are English, Spanish and Catalan.
The dates will be from November 14, 2019 (at 9 a.m.) to Saturday, November 16, 2019 (at 2 p.m.) with a final congress party at night.
The international committee is currently reviewing the almost 200 content proposals received. We will shortly publish the definitive program in which some 70 papers and 4 international keynotes will be included.
